An Ipsos Mori survey of 1042 respondents, commissioned by Prob8.co.uk, a new and unique online probate administration service launched today by leading law firm Whitehead Monckton, asked ‘How stressful, or not, would you say that each of these events are (on a scale of 1 – 10 where 1 is not at all stressful and 10 is very stressful)?’ The death of a close friend or family member emerged as the most stressful from the list of events tested, with just under two-thirds of Britons [65%] scoring 9 or 10.
