The Whitehead Monckton Charity and Social Enterprise Team (CASE) was formed to specifically focus on our charitable clients as a single sector rather than across different departments.
We will build our services around you to meet your individual needs.
The team is made up of specialists from our Tax and Estate Planning, Commercial, Employment and Property departments, and provides practical advice, tailored to meet the individual needs of our clients. We understand the unique demands and requirements of the sector and are well placed to advise on the full spectrum of charity law, from the creation of a charitable organisation, to the ongoing administration of a charitable trust or the transfer of charitable assets following a merger.
We are proud to act for a number of local and national charities and community interest groups, which include grant-making organisations, schools, football clubs and village halls.
We can help you and your charity with:
- Charity formation, governance and constitutional issues (link)
- Charity incorporation
- Employment/HR advice
- Charitable disputes
- Property purchases and leases
- Profile raising and events
- Selective pro bono work
We are ranked as a leading firm for Charities in Chambers Legal Directory 2014 and Legal 500.

We take an active role in charitable events throughout the county and have a strong team commitment to great client care and enthusiasm for the sector, demonstrated by our involvement in many charitable events throughout the year. We are keen to work with charities to raise the profile of the sector and often attend local events to promote our services, and help demonstrate our commitment to charities. If you would like to discuss this aspect further, please contact Julie Collier.
