Much speculation has been raised about the impact of Brexit on the various planning changes that are due to come through the system.

Those of you who have attended our recent seminars and have heard me discuss the delay in clarity on the delivery of Starter Homes will be aware that there has been on-going delay on delivery of the practical issues.

The new Housing and Planning Minster, Gavin Barwell has now made it clear that updating of the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) will now be held over into the autumn rather than being delivered “in the summer” as previously promised by Brandon Lewis.

There has been a suggestion that they have had over 1,100 responses to the consultation and need more time to carefully consider the issues raised.

Once again it will be a question of “watch this space”.

It remains to be seen if things pick up again in the autumn with regards to pushing on with policy changes.
