I completed a LLB Degree in Law at the University of Kent followed by the Legal Practice Course at the Inns of Court School of Law. I then trained and worked in London before joining Whitehead Monckton in 2019.
I am a qualified solicitor, with 8 years post qualification, specialising in all areas of contentious and non-contentious employment law; with a particular interest in discrimination and harassment law. I am also a CIPD qualified Human Resources practitioner.
Having acted for many small and medium businesses as well as employees, I am committed to early, cost effective resolution of disputes and the vast majority of my Claimant cases settle early for substantial sums.
When necessary I am a tough litigator fighting hard for clients to get the best outcome. I focus on demystifying the Tribunal processes and procedures with clear and pragmatic advice in order to assist my client to identify and ultimately achieve their desired objective.
I have expertise in:
All aspects of contentious and non contentious employment and discrimination law
Settlement Agreements and exit packages
Employment Tribunal representation
Employment Tribunal appeals
Drafting documentations such as contracts and employment handbooks
General advice on disciplinary, grievance, employment and discrimination matters
Employment Law / HR training
Unfair and wrongful dismissal
Redundancies / restructures
Protecting business interests – confidentiality and restrictive covenants
When out of the office:
If I have time around looking after my two young boys, I enjoy photography and reading.
