Commercial Leases - negotiation, drafting, termination & renewal

Overview

Drafting and negotiating commercial leases for industrial, leisure, retail and office premises is an important area for our commercial property team.

We act for property investors who own portfolios of commercial premises and we are engaged in the drafting and negotiation of their property leases as well as the procedures for termination and renewal. Further, since most businesses lease their premises we are frequently instructed to act for clients who are entering into leases of new premises or renewing their existing leases and they rely on us to obtain the right terms for them and to ensure that the lease is a fair balance between the interests of landlord and tenant.

We can also provide advice on the procedures for termination and renewal of business tenancies under the 1954 Landlord and Tenant Act and the prosecution and negotiation of dilapidations claims.

We have close connections with commercial surveyors and know the local property market well across the whole of Kent. We are also a partner of Locate In Kent which provides support to businesses relocating to and expanding in Kent.
