Whitehead Monckton’s corporate team have advised longstanding client, Seventeen Group Limited, on two acquisitions in a week.

Seventeen Group has further expanded its offering with the acquisitions of insurance brokers Highland Insurance Brokers Ltd and Renny Gold (Marine Trade) Consultants Limited.

The acquisitions take Seventeen Group to over 350 staff across 14 offices within the UK. Group chief executive Paul Anscombe commented “Our successful strategy of acquiring complimentary, entrepreneurial businesses has continued in the current year with six more businesses joining the group and further acquisitions expected to complete in the coming months. Our brand, culture, and scale continue to attract the highest quality of talent through both acquisition and key staff hires.”

Whitehead Monckton’s team was led by Head of Corporate, Daniel Tozer, who has a longstanding relationship with Seventeen Group. Speaking of the acquisitions, Tozer said, “its always nice to get multiple deals closed on the same day and is testament to our ability to streamline the process and work collaboratively with our counterparts”.

Tozer was assisted by his cross specialism deal team comprised of Suzan Petrosian, Jessica Elphick, Antonio Fletcher and Lydia Ashman.

The deals closed as Whitehead Monckton’s corporate team received news that they have been shortlisted for two awards at the South East Dealmaker Awards 2024 with Daniel Tozer up for Corporate Lawyer of the Year and also Deal of the Year (sub £10m).
