After studying law at King’s College, London, I worked in the Company department of Clifford Chance, joining Whitehead Monckton in 1993. I became a partner in 1996 and a Notary in 1997. I became a Director when the firm incorporated to a Limited Company in 2014.
I am the Honorary Treasurer of the Kent Law Society and Chair of the Kent and East Sussex Notaries Group.
Listed as a leading individual for Corporate in Chambers for 2017 (Janet Goode of Whitehead Monckton is held in high regard by her clients, who praise her “broad range of experience” and appreciate the “practical approach” she takes to complex corporate matters).

What my clients say:
“I would like to say a BIG thank for getting these documents over the line during your time off! It is greatly appreciated and now allows us to close a number of issues that have been dragging on. I hope you enjoy the rest of your time away from the office.”
“WM worked well as a team, identifying the issues and able to call on in-house specialist advice when it was needed.”
“I was impressed with the commitment to provide a professional service to the client. I was kept well informed at all times on progress and given very clear and helpful advice to assist my decision making.”
"I would like to take this opportunity to express my thanks for your help and professionalism in this matter, you made the whole process painless and a pleasure. In the past, I have used different solicitors for legal matters, but going forward I will certainly make you my first port of call for both my business and personal matters".
When out of the office:
I am involved in the local village community where I live and I enjoy singing in a choir. I am currently studying for an MA in creative writing with the Open University.
