I bring a wealth of experience in both commercial and residential transactions but my real passion is large and mid-sized property portfolio management, often with an agricultural element.

In the last 10 years, I have immersed myself within the financial sector and honed my expertise in corporate lending.  I act for both commercial and private lenders including retail, commercial offices, residential properties and student lets. These fast-paced transactions suit my working method and I take great satisfaction in getting deals completed for my clients.

My day to day practice includes buying, selling and leasing commercial, residential and agricultural land; acting for developers in acquiring sites and preparing sites for sale once development has completed; property securitisations and secured lending; Agricultural Tenancies and farm contracts; managing large property portfolios, dealing with leasehold management documents; and managing large estates’ property needs including easements and wayleaves in respect of third party rights.

With a keen interest in the countryside, I have been responsible for developing the firm’s significant agricultural and rural affairs capability.  I have also garnered a sound reputation in the sector previously participating as a board member for the National Fruit Show and actively attending other agricultural initiatives and ploughing matches in the region.

I am ranked for my expertise in Agriculture & Rural Affairs, Kent by the Chambers & Partners 2021 guide (clients say: "calm, concise and very knowledgeable,"),

Prior to joining Whitehead Monckton in 2004 I worked for city law firm S J Berwin.  My focus was within their retail team which gave me an insight of the breadth and knowledge of commercial property from both a strong Landlord and Tenant’s position.

My expertise in this area includes:

  • Property portfolio management
  • Secured lending
  • Commercial leases
  • Deed of easements
  • Way leaves agreements
  • Buying and selling of farms and land farm contracts & tenancies
  • Option agreements and conditional contracts acting for landowners including options to grant leases to solar park developers

What my clients say:

“Congratulations on getting some meaningful recognition for your work! I have had the pleasure of working with you for some time now and have always known how good you are.”

"She appreciates the importance of truly understanding her clients’ business needs and the issues that affect them.  She takes every opportunity to visit us to see the operations for herself"

"I was recommended to Marsha by not only an existing client but also their existing lender.  I immediately transferred all of my property and land transactions as I was so impressed with their comments, I wanted to proceed immediately".

"You’ve been the best Bank sep rep solicitor we could have ever wanted!"

When out of the office:

I am a keen runner and enjoy the great outdoors with my family and Margot my beautiful Labrador.

I called Whitehead Monckton for a quotation.  I came to you because I had bumped into someone in Canterbury high street whilst shopping who was a current client of Marsha’s.  She was singing her praises so much that I couldn’t go elsewhere and wanted to instruct Marsha straight away!
Many thanks to both Marsha and Kayleigh for the excellent services offered throughout the sale of Forsters Cottage, which has been greatly appreciated.
