Noted for my technical litigation prowess, My day to day practice in our busy dispute resolution team sees me tackling a variety of different property related issues for clients including commercial and residential lease renewals, possession claims (evictions) and dilapidations claims.

 

I have a particular interest in housing law matters and my previous experience includes working as an in-house solicitor at Clarion Housing Group (the largest social housing provider in the UK). I therefore has an excellent understanding of the legal issues affecting charitable housing providers and I retain contacts at many of the largest housing providers in the UK.

 

I am the firm’s leasehold enfranchisement specialist and have advised clients in connection with residential lease extensions before the First-Tier Tribunal (Property Chamber). This work includes advice in respect of high value central London properties, as well as regional properties.

 

I have also developed a reputation for advising both landlords and leaseholders in connection with commercial property disputes and I have provided advice to developers, universities, restaurants, hotels and pub chains in connection with a broad range of issues including service charge disputes, restrictive covenants, authorised guarantee agreements and easements.

 

I have experience in all the local courts (and in London). However, I am also commercially minded and will therefore explore the advantages of alternative dispute resolution, such as mediation, in appropriate cases and where cost effective to do so.

 

I completed a law degree (LLB) at the University of Kent followed by the Legal Practice Course at the University of Law (London, Bloomsbury). I then trained and worked as a Solicitor in London before joining the firm in 2018.

I enjoy spending time with my wife and our daughter. In my spare time, I also enjoy running, cycling and playing badminton.
