The importance of Executors seeking advice
Mr Jones, a bachelor, died in August 2018, having made a Will appointing his close friend Gill as so...
I joined Whitehead Monckton’s Tenterden office as a secretary in August 2017, having previously worked for another local firm of solicitors and undertaking my CILEx Level 3 Diploma in Law and Practice in the background. I was given the opportunity within the firm in May 2018 to become a Trainee Legal Executive in the Tax and Estate Planning department in Maidstone and am sitting my Level 6 Law and Practice exams.
In addition to my day to day work, I am part of the firm's Corporate Social Responsibility team assisting with fundraising for various charities, in particular the firm's 2021 Charities of the Year - Mid Kent Mind and South East Dog Rescue.
I also volunteer for the Alzheimer's Society as a Dementia Friends Champion, conducting information sessions with the aim of increasing awareness of the condition and how we can all do something to support those living with dementia in their day-to-day activities. As an extension from this, I have recently taken on the role of Chair of the Building A Dementia Friendly Maidstone community group, promoting dementia-friendly services and activities in the county town.
When out of the office:
When I am not studying for my next exam, I enjoy cooking (although I am not very good at it!) and spending time with my family and friends.
What clients say:
"Bekka & Amy were both very helpful in explaining to us things we didn't understand. Both very patient with us either in person or on the telephone. Nothing was too much trouble. Also found other staff that I had telephone contact with very helpful"
"Thank you to Bekka Fuszard and Amy Turner-Ives for making the process of writing my Will and LPAs so easy and straightforward. Everything was clearly explained throughout the process and the paperwork was straightforward. I have already recommended this service to several friends."
