I completed a BA (Hons) Degree in Law and Business at the University of Humberside and Lincolnshire in Hull and the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in York. I completed my Training Contract at Whitehead Monckton where I stayed until 2004. I then worked in and around Maidstone before returning to Whitehead Monckton in their East London office in 2018. I now provide legal services to both Maidstone and London clients.

I have specialist experience in all areas of family law including:

I am a Law Society Family Law specialist and am Accredited by Resolution with recognised specialism in financial matters and cohabitation.

I am committed to Resolution’s conciliatory approach and am qualified as a Collaborative Solicitor although if matters do need the involvement of the Court I also have extensive advocacy experience and am qualified to advocate in all levels of Courts as I have been awarded Higher Rights of Audience.

When out of the office:

When not working I enjoy spending time with my family and also like to get out around the country lanes on my bike and I recently completed the London to Brighton bike ride raising money for The British Heart Foundation.

Following a friend's recommendation I contacted Melissa to process my recent divorce. Being communicated to clearly, as required and thoughtfully was a resounding opposite experience to what I had previously received elsewhere.
