Victoria Robinson

Job Title:

Residential Property Specialist

Services:

  • Conveyancing & Residential Property

Profile

I joined the firm in January 2020 and I deal with all aspects of residential property transactions including: Leasehold and Freehold sales, purchases and new builds.

On leaving school I went to South Kent College to attend a Secretarial Course. As part of the course, I was sent on two weeks work experience at a local Law firm in Ashford which specialised in Conveyancing.  I thoroughly enjoyed my two weeks experience; it really peaked my interest and so I was delighted when the firm offered me a job as an office junior to begin once I had completed my college course.

I was lucky to rise up and progress within the firm, and left after two years to start at another local firm as a Matrimonial Secretary. I realised not long after starting there that my true passion was Conveyancing and was eager to get back to it as quickly as possible. Luckily an opening came in the form of ‘Personal Assistant to a Senior Partner’ soon after within an Ashford based Law firm who again specialised primarily in Conveyancing.

After around 4 years I applied to study during the evenings with ILEX and passed my Certificate in Property Transactions with a Credit in 2010. Following completion of my course I was offered the role of ‘Conveyancing Executive’ and started my own case load.   I was with the Ashford based firm for over 6 years and was offered an opportunity with another Ashford based firm and was a Conveyancer with them for over 8 years.

I am currently studying to become Licensed with the Council of Licenced Conveyancers.

I like to build a good relationship with my clients during what is an extremely stressful time, in the hope that this will alleviate some of the pressure from them.

Having purchased my own home, I can relate to my clients, from the client perspective. I understand first hand the type of emotions that come with purchasing your own home, from stress to the excitement and the rewarding feeling when you receive your keys.

When out of the office:

I like to socialise with friends and family, eating out, attending the theatre and lots of retail therapy.
